Gabriel is two weeks old (early October 2009)

Look at my little brother, he is just so cute!

He opens his eyes a lot more now and is awake an average of two hours a day.

Just like me, he loves taking baths. He hates the part about getting out and being cold for a few seconds... but what can we do? That part sucks for everybody!

Mommy and daddy are getting very little sleep right now... Gabriel feeds every 2 hours at the very best. His days and nights are still mixed up and he has troubles digesting mommy's milk. It wakes me up at night sometimes, but for the most part I don't hear anything. Mommy tells me it will get better in a few weeks, I sure hope so for her sake!

In spite of being tired, mommy and daddy try to take me to the park after supper when the weather allows it. They are getting worried I am watching too many Scooby-Doo, Caillou and Blue's Clues episodes!

Over the weekend, Gabriel met Darcy, who just turned one. She is such a good little girl.
Grand-maman babysat me, while the rest of my family went to Tara and Steve's wedding. It was a beautiful ceremony but I am quite certain that it could not beat the Ice Capades Disney on Ice that I saw with my cousin Charlotte!

Gabriel was a big hit with the ladies at the wedding. He was adorable with his little tie and suspenders shirt!

The Thanksgiving weekend ended on a perfect note as I got to play with Holly and Ryan all day long. I love my cousins, they are so much fun to be with.

Welcome to our family Gabriel (September 24th, 2009)

My little brother, the famous Gabriel, the one I was dreaming of for so long, finally came into this world! I am so happy, he is so beautiful. He looks a lot like me physically so far! Personality wise he is the opposite of me so far! He sleeps all the times, not for long because he is hungry every hour or two!

This is the last picture of mommy before she was rolled out to have her c-section. She was so big, strangers were stopping her everywhere to ask her if she was expecting twins.
Gabriel was so big, it might as well have been two babies! He weighed 9 pounds 4 ounces and measured 21 inches. Mommy cried once again as soon as Gabriel was taken out of her belly.

The crazy thing about Gabriel is his hair! Everyone at the hospital commented on it. Mommy and daddy did not hear it's a boy first, they heard this baby has so much hair on it's head! He was born with a haircut like daddy, he will need a haircut before he is one-month old.I am crazy about my brother. I am not jealous at all. I love him so much, I want to kiss and hug him all the times.

We had many visitors stopping by over the four days we spent at the hospital. Mamie was the first one to hold Gabriel and then it was grand-maman.

Tante Caro held baby Gabriel for a long time, she is gaga over him. Tante Stephanie, uncle Chris, papie and grand-papa were there on his first day into this world. Grand-papa won the best comment of the evening, Gabriel will make a big hockey player!

Mommy was tired, Gabriel was born at 5:21 pm after a whole day of waiting at the hospital.Daddy was exhausted, he started a cold the day before Gabriel was born. Gabriel looks a lot like daddy.

Gabriel is such a big part of my life, you'll hear a lot about his adventures along mine in the future.

Fun times with Bear and Eric (Sept 1st 2009)

Before the baby's arrival... (late September 2009)

Mommy and daddy are going to the hospital Thursday morning of this week! All the bamboo and cotton diapers have been washed. The baby's room is ready and all the arrangements have been made for the arrival of baby number 2.

I will be a great sister. I cannot wait to hold the baby and feed him or her. I will play with him or her and bathe him or her.I look very grown up with all my jewelery, I am ready as well.

Mommy is so awesome, she took me to the park with Charlotte even if her belly is about to explode! She told me it's the last time for a few weeks that she can do these more active type of activities with me.

Grand-maman and papa promised me they would bring me places to see my friends and mu family members.

My uncle Jean is so nice, he made me bounce on a ball while Charlotte could not wait to do the same!
I got to spend some time with Naomie, we get along so well.

Uncle Nilesh is in town for the next few years as he is doing a master in cinema. He has been living with us for a week now and I really enjoy his company. He is always laughing and giggling. He plays a lot with me and he is really silly at times.

Do you like his new look? He went to see Metallica with Daddy, Chris and Michel. I took this picture of him myself. He attracted a lot of attention on him, especially from men... I wonder why? He shaved the next day before going to school.

Here is an old clip of me singing Head and Shoulders Knees and Toes a few months ago as I am trying to follow the choregraphy...

Surprise Baby Shower (early September 2009)

Mommy and I were going to celebrate tante Caro's birthday when suddenly we noticed a lot of cars parked on the street. Mommy said out loud that it must be someone else's birthday on tante Caro's block today as well! We were so surprised to see all the ladies in mommy's life when we opened the door! It was a great surprise for the two of us. Daddy made sure not to tell me so I would not spill the beans! I am not very good at keeping secrets!

Mommy did not take any pictures, which is really rare, so here are some of the few pictures we got from tante Caro! I played a lot with Naomie and Charlotte while mommy talked to all her friends and family members.
It was nice seeing Angie and Darcy.
Sofia and Johanne.
Mireille and Ariane
.

Charlotte and Françoise.
Mamie and tante Stéphanie.

Grand-maman and Élodie.

Mommy wants to thank everyone that came, she had a wonderful afternoon. She wants to say a special thank to tante Caro and tante Stéphanie for organizing the baby shower. She wants to thank grand-maman and mamie for all their help and Geneviève for the fun games we played. Thank you for all the new and recycled gifts and for respecting all of mommy's wishes for this baby shower.

The Saint-Lawrence River and the Pirates (August 27th & 28th, 2009)

A trip to the beach by the Saint-Lawrence River got quickly transformed into a guided tour as my Mommy explained everything she remembered about the Lachine's Rapids. The beach was closed as a lot of students are already back to school... We will be back next year!

Grand-maman and Charlotte had fun during our turtle pace walk by the river.

Mommy is walking so slowly as she is getting closer to delivering her watermelon as she calls it!

One of the highlight of our tour was to observe a groundhog standing a few feet away from us. Mommy later told me that we have one living right under our house. I was so happy to learn that! Mommy says it surely beats having a skunk or a raccoon as a guest!

Mommy invited Charlotte to stay with us for a few days as I ask her constantly to see her over the last few weeks! Nagging does wonders! We continued with the river theme and decided to go on a pirate boat tour of the Saint-Lawrence River.

This time Tante Caro came along. Mommy needs a lot of help by now... it was officially her last big outing before the arrival of the baby. That's what she says, I will keep on nagging and she will cave and will do lots of things before the baby comes into my world.
Look at her, she doesn't look that bad! Yes, I am running out of room to sit on her lap but we manage.

I had to honor to meet Monseigneur Chomedey de Maisonneuve, the nice pirate that founded Montreal 367 years ago! I discovered a whole lot of things about Montreal that I already forgot about... but I will not forget my first boat cruise aboard a pirate ship!

Mommy finally got around to bring me to Mamie to wish her a happy birthday! I got her a nice garden troll to thank her (Papie and Stephanie) for all their hard work around the outside of the house. We have beautiful plants and flowers on our lawn without the invasion of the million weeds! The same day, I got to play with Sofia, Johanne and Arthur. There's a lot of love and joy in this house, I had such a great time, I did not want to leave! We will be back for sure now that Sofia can walk and keep up with me.

I had a little discussion with my gentle pirate. I followed him everywhere on the boat. Mommy was afraid I was stalking him, but I was not! I asked him if he likes swimming... he says he does not take too many baths, but he still smells good, that's weird, isn't?

The End of the 2009 Summer

Half of my friends at day care are graduating and going to kindergarden... I will miss them so much. I will be one of the oldest now: Alexis (4, the only boy), Ève (4), Annabelle (3, my best buddy), Maya (3, me of course), Laurence (2), Sophie Ba. (2), Sophie Br (1), Camille (1). After the big party for Grand-Papa, Mommy and Daddy had the opportunity to go to a nice skiing village for 2 days. Daddy was editing the footage from a charity golf tournament and he had the permission to bring mommy, but not me!

They had a relaxing time visiting the surroundings, eating out, watching Wolverine and reading (while daddy was working).
I took this picture all by myself, not bad for a 33 month old girl. I enjoy swimming with my family members almost every day. The weather has been really nice in August. And yes, I always swim naked. I love it this way in the privacy of my own backyard.

We had a big family reunion at the train museum! How great is that! Daddy and Mommy took the tramway and the train with me as they did not know too many people at that reunion. Grand-papa was glad we came and he got to show me to many of his family members.

I could ride the train all day long if my parents would let me.

I cannot believe Paul got his own inflatable jumping castle! We jumped non-stop for an hour and then it started raining! I will go back for sure to play with my Tante Caro's little neighbour. I know what I want for my third birthday!

Paul loves posing for the camera.

We also played in the tunnel together. We get along so well. Paul is also starting school this year! I cannot wait to go to school too!

If you want to see something odd and rare, look at this clip. It's the first time grand-papa swims in a pool in the last 20 years! He must have been really hot because he doesn't even swim in the ocean on his trips to the sea!
