The Spiderman in us! (Late spring 2012)

MAYA

If you know me well, even just a little, you know that I LOVE climbing!

I'll climb pretty much anything! From Antoine Versagym to...

the rocking chair... to...

the spiderweb at the playground! My dream is to do competitive extreme cheerleading!

Mommy was kind enough to bring me to the Coyotes open house!

I got to jump in an open pit filled with soft cubes. Mommy even jumped with me the first time!

It was easier to jump in it than to get out of it!

We even invited Markis (our neighbour) to join us! It was his first time jumping on the trampoline. He preferred the Tarzan rope. He enjoyed his outing in spite of a small injury when the rope hit him back in the face as he was jumping into the pit. His nose was bleeding quite a bit... poor Markis. For some reason I only jumped once using the rope and did not like it.

An instructor was trying to show me how to roll... I know how to do it, but on that day I kept on doing a bridge instead of a roll!

I am still a champ!

I decided to work on that skill for the rest of the afternoon. Mommy can a please do cheerleading in the fall?

GABRIEL

Anyone who knows Gabriel, knows that he LOVES Spiderman and turtles!

He is not a master climber but a master slider! He is not afraid of the big slides (the ones mommy and I are afraid of).

He always likes to go on his swing and he keeps on saying higher! PLUS FORT PLUS FORT!

He can actually go on the big swing now... but he likes to go back to his baby ways once in a while! His love gor GONG GONG is still strong as you can see!

Gabriel likes to play in the rain with his Spiderman umbrella!

I have a doggy umbrella!

It has been a hot summer so far and we are lucky enough to get a few big rainfall once in a while. We love playing in the rain when there are no lighting rods in the sky. Safety first!!!

Everyone must know by now, but Antoine will be a big brother in December! We are so excited to have a baby girl cousin on the way! Soon we will show tante Caro round little tummy on the blog!

We have been spending time with Jackson as well this summer! He is a daredevil this one! He is more ready to snap the lids on our fingers than to play a melody!

We love him to death. He gets along well with all of us, especially me (as he likes to imitate and bully me) and daddy who he wrestles with!

We are big fans of the hot tub. Gabriel asks to go see papie every week!

I spend time with my cousin Charlotte who we all call Charlot now that Gabriel named her this way!

I tried to show her how to skateboard. Charlotte is so nice with me, I love when she comes and sleepover at our house.

I am enjoying my summer so far, especially when we go for sherbet after supper! I am a bite scared about starting school in a few weeks. Do you have any advice for me?

Father's day = Daddy time! (June 2012)

We have been spending alone time with daddy as mommy is studying hard and going to school full time!

Gabriel is all smiles as he is playing with a ball full of water. I did get wetter immediately!

Gabriel is a big boy and is using the potty now! He only has to weat a diaper when he is sleeping now. Daddy is very happy about that.

Dad and I spent an afternoon at a local fair while mommy and Gabriel were napping.

It was a lot of fun. I really liked the bumper cars.

I was so proud of myself when I won a Huski stuffed animal at an agility game. I named him Carl!

We couldn't wait to go see Star Wars Identity at the science museum! I did not really like it... Daddy was disappointed that I was not into it in spite of having seen the movies several times.

Gabriel liked it! He will be such a geek like mom and dad when he grows up!

Swimming in May!

Swimming in May!

Yes we have been swimming in May! It has been so hot so early this year!

We even hoped to be splashed about at the dinosaur waterpark at the corner of our house...

No luck... not open yet. We are only in May!

We pretended to be attacked by dinosaurs instead!

No water at the park... no problem! The ice cream parlor did open in time! Good business sense for sure. I really enjoy sorbet in a cone right now!

We invited Brandon for a splash down!

I have to say I enjoy torturing Paul, dad's really good friend from work.

Mia was tired, but still enjoyed a good push on the swing.

Brandon and I also watered the plants at the same time.

Gabriel usually does not like to be sprayed by the hose... too cold for his taste!

I was really brave and hot to go in the freezing water in May, it was about 68 degrees F.

Gabriel stayed as long as most of his body was dry.

Mommy loves Gabriel's eyelashes, especially when they are wet and form stars!

Here is Julien jumping in!

Amazing quick from Max!

Here I go! Thanks dad for these nice pictures!

Our first trip to the USA! (June 24th, 2012)

We finally crossed the border together! We went on a fun one day trip with Christine and Pierre to the beautiful state of New York.

We went to Ausable Chasm. We were clueless that something so beautiful was located just over an hour away from our house!

We got to see landscape worth of a science-fiction movie. The geology geek in mommy was very happy.

Everywhere we looked there was something great to see! maya said.

At five I got to go down a river at the bottom of a canyon. I was beside myself!

Christine was excited for us. She was so happy to make us discover such a nice place.

Gabriel was excited to go on a boat but tired for waiting an hour under the hot sun.

Thank goodness daddy was there!

This is the view from the boat. We could not take too many pictures because we had to hang on and paddle as well! We got wet a little from the rapids at some point

There is even a small hydro-electric dam there. We stayed a little while there. Long enough for me to buy a Canadian flag in this American gift store on Saint-Jean-Baptiste day! We headed for MacDonald since it is the only place where Christine and I are not allergic to everything on the menu!

We headed to the beach by Champlain Lake right after our delicious meal.

Christine is like a little kid! She is so much fun. I love hanging out with her. I gave her the permission to dig a trench all the way to the lake!

We had so much fun building sand castles. We are so lucky to go to the beach two days in a row! We went to Rawdon with Brandon and Mia yesterday. Unfortunately no one took pictures of that great day!

We took loads of pictures this time around! I even caught a butterfly with my net!

Can you see the yellow butterfly I caught and released a few minutes later. I was so proud of myself!

Gabriel loves the beach and the water. He was all smiles and no fuss, except about wearing a wet bathing suit! Yes, a dry one is OK, but not a wet one!

Thank you so much Christine and Pierre for this unforgettable adventure! They even stayed for supper! We can do so many things when we leave the house at 8:00!

I love the beach too, can you tell?

The water was so warm, I was trying to make sand angels here!

We will be back at Pointe au Roche Beach NY for sure this summer!
