The Saint-Lawrence River and the Pirates (August 27th & 28th, 2009)

A trip to the beach by the Saint-Lawrence River got quickly transformed into a guided tour as my Mommy explained everything she remembered about the Lachine's Rapids. The beach was closed as a lot of students are already back to school... We will be back next year!
Grand-maman and Charlotte had fun during our turtle pace walk by the river.
Mommy is walking so slowly as she is getting closer to delivering her watermelon as she calls it!

One of the highlight of our tour was to observe a groundhog standing a few feet away from us. Mommy later told me that we have one living right under our house. I was so happy to learn that! Mommy says it surely beats having a skunk or a raccoon as a guest!

Mommy invited Charlotte to stay with us for a few days as I ask her constantly to see her over the last few weeks! Nagging does wonders! We continued with the river theme and decided to go on a pirate boat tour of the Saint-Lawrence River.

This time Tante Caro came along. Mommy needs a lot of help by now... it was officially her last big outing before the arrival of the baby. That's what she says, I will keep on nagging and she will cave and will do lots of things before the baby comes into my world.
Look at her, she doesn't look that bad! Yes, I am running out of room to sit on her lap but we manage.

I had to honor to meet Monseigneur Chomedey de Maisonneuve, the nice pirate that founded Montreal 367 years ago! I discovered a whole lot of things about Montreal that I already forgot about... but I will not forget my first boat cruise aboard a pirate ship!

Mommy finally got around to bring me to Mamie to wish her a happy birthday! I got her a nice garden troll to thank her (Papie and Stephanie) for all their hard work around the outside of the house. We have beautiful plants and flowers on our lawn without the invasion of the million weeds! The same day, I got to play with Sofia, Johanne and Arthur. There's a lot of love and joy in this house, I had such a great time, I did not want to leave! We will be back for sure now that Sofia can walk and keep up with me.
I had a little discussion with my gentle pirate. I followed him everywhere on the boat. Mommy was afraid I was stalking him, but I was not! I asked him if he likes swimming... he says he does not take too many baths, but he still smells good, that's weird, isn't?
The End of the 2009 Summer
Half of my friends at day care are graduating and going to kindergarden... I will miss them so much. I will be one of the oldest now: Alexis (4, the only boy), Ève (4), Annabelle (3, my best buddy), Maya (3, me of course), Laurence (2), Sophie Ba. (2), Sophie Br (1), Camille (1). After the big party for Grand-Papa, Mommy and Daddy had the opportunity to go to a nice skiing village for 2 days.
Daddy was editing the footage from a charity golf tournament and he had the permission to bring mommy, but not me!
They had a relaxing time visiting the surroundings, eating out, watching Wolverine and reading (while daddy was working).
I took this picture all by myself, not bad for a 33 month old girl. I enjoy swimming with my family members almost every day. The weather has been really nice in August. And yes, I always swim naked. I love it this way in the privacy of my own backyard.
We had a big family reunion at the train museum! How great is that! Daddy and Mommy took the tramway and the train with me as they did not know too many people at that reunion. Grand-papa was glad we came and he got to show me to many of his family members.
I could ride the train all day long if my parents would let me.
I cannot believe Paul got his own inflatable jumping castle! We jumped non-stop for an hour and then it started raining! I will go back for sure to play with my Tante Caro's little neighbour. I know what I want for my third birthday!
Paul loves posing for the camera.
We also played in the tunnel together. We get along so well. Paul is also starting school this year! I cannot wait to go to school too!
If you want to see something odd and rare, look at this clip. It's the first time grand-papa swims in a pool in the last 20 years! He must have been really hot because he doesn't even swim in the ocean on his trips to the sea!
Happy Birthday Tante Stéphanie & Grand-Papa (August 2009)
Wow I know so many people who are celebrating their birthday in August! First, it was Tante Stéphanie's and Lolo's birthday! We managed to give them a combined gift! A fancy dog carrier purse! Tante Stéphanie loved it, but I am not sure Lolo likes it that much! No worries, we also gave Lolo the tiniest tennis balls we ever saw and she defenitaly loved those. Lolo managed to escape from our backyard to go visit the neighbours... we had no choice than to tie her up after that...
Mammie and Papie hosted a little get together to celebrate Tante Stéphanie's birthday the next weekend.
There were so many candles on her super duper chocolate cake, that the cake was melting! I was in bed by then, I was so tired from swimming in the hot tub all afternoon long!
We had to keep an eye on Lolo and Daisy who were trying to escape... Mamie and Papie need to fence in their backyard, but Lolo is so small, she can escape from anywhere! I guess the solution is to tie her up again!
or leave it to Jay, the dog whisperer... Daisy is in love.
Mommy organized with Daddy, Tante Caro and Grand-maman a super birthday party for grand-papa's 60th birthday. He was so surprised and happy to see the 40 guests that came just for him.
Now grand-papa understands why maman and grand-papa pushed him so hard to finish most of the renos in our house...
The party happened to occur on the warmest day of the summer... it was 40 degrees celcius and it's a good thing we have a pool! Many of our guests had a dip in the very warm pool.
Including Charlotte, who played a lot with me and my two cousins Felix and William.
I love playing with my daddy, I am pretending that Lolo is hurting me badly in this clip. Lolo does bite a lot but really she could not harm a fly even if she tried real hard to!
If you don't like to hear screaming little girls on screen, don't push play! Be warned!
