Christmas is around the corner (December 19, 2009)

I was on vacation this week!!! The daycare was closed for the whole week, for the first time since I have been going there! Annie and her family went to Cancun! They chose the right week as the temperature dropped to below -20 degrees celcius! BRRRRRRRRR!

I got to spend a lot more time with mommy and Gabriel!

I love my brother so much. I want to hold him every chance I've got!

Gabriel is such a good baby, everyone wants to hold him, especially tante Caro and grand-maman! even Vincent-Olivier held him! He is practicing to be an uncle to baby Juliette who'll come in February! We went to her baby shower last weekend. I played with Charlotte and a little girl named Ariane, just like Juliette's mom!

Mommy invited a lot of friends over the last week...but she took very few pictures. She had her hands full with me and Gabriel! We saw Maribel, Geneviève and Alexandra as well as Élodie and Guylaine.

Naomie also came over with her brother Louis. We ate candies from the gingerbread house...

and played outside!
It's never too cold to play on the swings!

Charlotte also came to play with me and stayed over night. She got a little chilly as the furnace is broken. We put the electric fireplace in her room, but its fan was so loud, she had to turn it off during the night! We played hairdressers as you can see! I love Charlotte so much, I would like to see her everyday!

Mommy is posting a lot of videos this week. It's an early Christmas present to all our readers!

Building a Gingerbread House (Early December 2009)

The Christmas tree is up, it has been since the end of November, as my mom is overzealous as usual! She even started a new tradition, building a gingerbread house (from a kit) with tante Caroline.

Everything that is related with complicated crafts involve tante Caro's help! My mom is not that crafty and not as meticulous as my aunt. Our little house looks very good for a first one! The next day, I wanted to make another one! Mommy said no, but she said I can start eating one candy aper day on it if I want to! I want to!!!

Tante Stephanie came last weekend to play with me and Gabriel. She was scared Gabriel would be cold I think!

We watched a lot of videos of me when I was a baby. I really enjoy doing that. I also went outside to play with Lolo.

Mamie stayed inside to play with Gabriel and look at his pretty blue eyes. She says he has Irish eyes, that are a dark marine color. She also gave him a nice bath while we all played outside.

Gabriel has a new friend! Amelia is 9 months old. Tante Caro was babysitting her and her big sister Alicia while her mom and dad went to their marriage preparation courses. We decorated the Christmas tree on that day actually!

Tante Caro took this gorgeous snapshot of my brother! He is really cute and very big for his age! The doctors and nurses we see are always flabbergasted that at 8 weeks he weighs 14 pounds and mesures 64 centimeters and wears tightly size 9month pyjamas! He smiles and coos a lot, it's fun to interact with him. You'll see that on the videos.

It's not always all smiles! He pouts just like I did and he has a quivering lip sometimes when he is unhappy (I did not have that, byt my cousin Ryan did!). Gabriel does not cry that much. He is starting to feel better as he is on a new medication. He takes Domperidonne to empty out his stomach faster and Prevacid to close the valve to prevent acid reflux. It's not perfect but it's a big improvement. Gabriel has projectile vomits every few days now instead of several times a day.

I am as happy and healthy as can be! I have a family doctor now, the same one as Gabriel. I found out that I weigh almost 40 pounds and I measure just over a meter. I even graduated to a booster seat in the car! I love it. I am much higher and I can see everything around.

Gabriel is just so cute, I needed to add one more picture of him!

My grand-maman is an angel. She is still coming almost everyday to help us out around supper/bedtime and on the weekends when daddy is working.

Getting to know Kiran (mid-November 2009)

We had a very busy weekend! Kiran with his mom Carmen and dad Nilesh, stayed with us for a few days before they went back to Vancouver. Daddy is Kiran symbolical Godfather as Nilesh is mine (position shared with Dan).

We got our first family picture since Gabriel was born! Thanks Carmen, it only took 6 weeks to get there!
Does Gabriel look like mommy? Too early to tell , so far he looks a bit like me... therefore daddy??? All I can say is that he is a huge baby at 13 pounds when he is only 6 weeks old. He fits comfortably in 9-month size sleepers!

Gabriel is gorgeous in his new winter jacket. We all hope he keeps his beautiful blue eyes.

Let me introduce to you Kiran. You saw him on the blog when he was a few months old... he was only 5 months old when we moved to Montreal... He is in between the baby stage and the toddler stage.

We took a bath together. Kiran is such a happy boy, always jumping of joy. He is funny and loud! He got his dad's voice that's for sure. He loves stars, In the Night Garden, cars, drawing, taking pictures and my mega blocks Wizard of Oz castle. We gave him an early birthday present since his birthday is 2 days after Christmas...we gave him his own digital camera. It was great getting to know him, I'll be happy to spend more time with him and his family when they move to Montreal next year.

Grand-maman is an angel. She comes everyday to help mommy and daddy with Gabriel and myself! She seems to really enjoy Gabriel's company, these two get along fabulously!

I had a playdate with Carson, the day before Kiran showed up. I kept calling Kiran Carson at first! It was so confusing! Carson and I played outside, it was so warm on that day. We got along great until we got inside. I don't know what got into me, but I kept on taking Carson's toys (which are mine, but I was required to share with him).
Carson's mom is so nice, her name is Shirley. She is really fond of little babies too. Gabriel, unlike me when I was his age, enjoys being held by people.

Finally, mommy got a picture of Toffee and me. Toffee is my neighbors' dog. We are really good friends. He gets so excited when he sees me, he nibbles my fingers, but I don't mind too much. I have a ladybug in my hand if you cannot tell!

Gabriel is growing up fast, look at him touching his cat and dog on his vibrating chair! He is a genius.

He is smiling and kind of laughing by now. The fun is starting for mom and dad.

He is starting to sleep one stretch of 3 hours a night followed by stretches of 1.5 to 2.5 hours. Unfortunately he still has important acid reflux. His medecine, Zantax, helps control the vomiting but Gabriel still has major painful heart burn.

Arrrgh! Halloween as a pirate (October 31st, 2009)

Halloween is the best holiday! I love eating candy, especially lollipops and rocket-type candy. My mom eat all the other stuff I am allergic to!

I got to celebrate it twice, once at daycare as Spiderman and once on the actual Halloween night!

This year mom and grand-maman stayed at Caro's house to give candy and take care of Gabriel. He looks so cute as a pirate too!
Tante Caro was the designated adult to supervise me to go trick-or-treat.

Charlotte, the pirate, joined us with Paul and Laura (my tante's little neighbors) to go around the block to collect candy! It was cold and windy this year, but it was not raining.

I got to stay home and skip daycare on Friday to play with Sofia and Darcy.

I had a lot of fun playing with their moms as well, Johanne and Angie.

These two little girls enjoyed my playroom to the max. That's good, because I tend to always play with my little plastic dolls and my doll house.

I took my first bath with Gabriel, who is just over a month old now. I love my baby brother, even with his belly aches screams and acid reflux projectile vomit... poor thing. My parents are so tired, they hope that by Christmas Gabriel will feel much better and sleep longer without being held by a hot human body.
Three birthday parties as I turn 3 (End of October 2009)

I am the luckiest girl, I had three birthday parties as I turned three years old on Saturday! I got one at daycare, one at Fundomondo and one at Mamie's house! These pictures were taken at Fundomondo by Nilesh as I climbed and played all afternoon with 20 of my closest little friends. It was a great idea because we all had so much fun in this indoor playground.

Thanks everyone for the contribution to my inflatable jumping castle. I should get as soon as my parents find the perfect one for me. Hopefully before next summer! I also got so many presents, we are running out of room to put all my toys and clothes! I got ice skates for this winter, a Habs pink jersey, a fun bedtime game, Caillou, Spiderman and ScoobyDoo stuff, great outfits and so many more games and books. Thank you!

Apple picking and crying (Mid-October, 2009)

I'm so excited it's finally my birthday next weekend
and then Halloween! I love October for so many reasons...I love playing with the leaves on the ground and throwing them at mommy and daddy.I also love hiding in them or covering my parents underneath them!

I continue being an awesome sister according to my mom! This t-shirt says it all, thanks Angie!

I enjoy kissing, hugging and holding Gabriel for now. He is so cute, I never get tired of him... except when he cries so loud when I get to bed... then it's hard for me to fall asleep.

Gabriel has colics, it is especially bad at night. He will soon grow out of it, hopefully! He is so much more awake already and look at his hair, it's amazing!

Daddy wishes that Gabriel will be a Canadiens fan and a 49ers fan in the near future! I love giving him his pacifier but he does not take it for very long if at all for now.

Tante Caro comes after work to see us and grand-maman comes everyday to give daddy and mommy an hour of sleep in the afternoon!

Gabriel's colics got so bad that my parents took him to see an acupuncturist.

He seems very happy at the acupuncturist, but it did not work! Mommy got probiotics for the two of them, but that's not working either... so she got an appointment to see an osteopath early November... hopefully the colics will be less severe until then.

Mommy decided to go apple picking hoping that some fresh air would be good for everybody.

I am able to climb the big ladder to pick the apples at the top of the trees all by myself now! Yes grand-papa or tante Caro were supervising me so I would not fall!

Charlotte joined us on this beautiful fall day!

Even Shadow came along! We all sat together in the mini-van, it was crowded to say the least!

Charlotte and I even got to ride poneys for a few minutes and play at the playground.

Bobby was a very nice poney and I really enjoyed the experience. I will ride on Honda very soon...
